The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Neuroscience will host its annual Summer Undergraduate Research Internship Program. We invite undergraduates to participate in an intensive 10-week research experience, which, in addition to conducting neuroscience laboratory research in the lab of a Pitt faculty member, will include weekly seminars and lab meetings and the student presenting their research at the end of the summer. This is an unpaid educational internship program (though some labs may provide separate summer employment as a student worker).
The program will provide a forum for undergraduates who are conducting summer research projects in neuroscience under the guidance of Pitt faculty members. The program is open to all undergraduates who are in good academic standing and will be involved in a faculty-mentored research project during the months of May through August. It is the student’s responsibility to identify a research lab and faculty mentor prior to applying to the program. Written approval from the faculty member and safety training or other required training for the student appropriate to the particular laboratory or other environment is required.
In order to apply for the Summer Internship program, please fill out the following form and return it to Anne-Marie Oswald in Langley Hall A210.
